REFUND & DISPUTE POLICY
OrangeX – Global P2P USDT Marketplace
Effective Date: [Feb 2026]
1. Introduction
This Refund & Dispute Policy outlines the procedures and conditions under which disputes and refund-related matters are handled on the OrangeX platform (“Platform”).
OrangeX operates as a peer-to-peer (P2P) marketplace and is not a direct counterparty to transactions. All trades occur between users. However, OrangeX provides an escrow mechanism and dispute mediation support.
2. Nature of P2P Transactions
All transactions on OrangeX are conducted directly between:
-
A Buyer (purchasing USDT)
-
A Seller (selling USDT)
OrangeX:
-
Locks USDT in escrow during transactions
-
Provides a chat interface for communication
-
Reviews disputes when formally submitted
OrangeX does not control fiat payment transfers.
3. Escrow Protection Mechanism
When a trade is initiated:
-
The Seller’s USDT is locked in escrow.
-
The Buyer sends fiat payment to the Seller.
-
The Seller confirms receipt of payment.
-
USDT is released to the Buyer.
Escrow protects both parties until the transaction is confirmed or a dispute is resolved.
4. Refund Principles
Due to the irreversible nature of blockchain transactions:
-
Completed USDT releases are final.
-
OrangeX cannot reverse blockchain transfers.
-
Refunds are not guaranteed after escrow release.
Refunds may only occur under limited circumstances before escrow release or through dispute resolution.
5. When a Dispute May Be Filed
A user may open a dispute if:
-
The Seller does not release USDT after confirmed payment.
-
The Buyer claims payment was made but USDT not received.
-
Fraudulent payment proof is suspected.
-
Incorrect payment amount was transferred.
-
The Seller claims non-receipt of payment.
-
There is evidence of payment reversal risk (e.g., chargeback).
Disputes must be filed within the transaction time window shown on the Platform.
6. Dispute Filing Procedure
To initiate a dispute:
-
Click “Open Dispute” before order expiration.
-
Submit required evidence:

7. Dispute Review Process
Upon dispute submission:
-
Escrowed USDT will be temporarily frozen.
-
OrangeX support team will review submitted evidence.
-
Both parties may be required to provide additional documents.
-
A final decision will be issued based on available evidence.
OrangeX reserves sole discretion in dispute decisions.
Decisions are binding within the Platform.
8. Chargeback & Payment Reversal Risk
If a Buyer initiates:
-
Bank chargeback
-
Payment cancellation
-
Fraud claim
OrangeX may:
-
Suspend the Buyer’s account
-
Freeze related assets
